weighted grades
Prioritized academic marks
Weighted grades are scores adjusted to reflect the relative difficulty or importance of different assignments or courses.
A grade in an honors class might count more than one in a standard class; a final exam might count more than a quiz.
The system produces a weighted GPA or weighted average: Her weighted GPA was 4.3 because AP classes earned extra points.
