water worlds
Fully flooded spheres
Water worlds are planets or moons where water dominates the surface—either as vast oceans covering most or all of the land, or as deep global seas with no exposed continents.
The term appears in astronomy and astrobiology when discussing potentially habitable exoplanets, and in science fiction as settings for aquatic civilizations: Scientists believe Europa may be a water world beneath its icy crust.
