A vodkatini is a martini made with vodka instead of gin.
The classic martini uses gin, but vodka versions became popular in the mid-20th century.
Some purists insist a true martini requires gin, making "vodkatini" a way to specify the variant: I'll have a vodkatini, extra dry.
