Temporary travel authorization
A visitor visa is official authorization allowing temporary entry to a country for tourism, business meetings, or family visits rather than work or permanent residence.
The holder must leave before the visa expires: Her visitor visa was valid for ninety days.
Also called a tourist visa, though visitor visas may cover purposes beyond tourism.
