employment visa
Foreign worker authorization
An employment visa is a government-issued permit allowing a foreign national to work legally in a country for a specified period.
Unlike tourist visas, employment visas typically require sponsorship from an employer and proof of qualifications.
The visa is usually tied to a specific job: She couldn't switch companies without jeopardizing her employment visa.
