video vixen
Music clip model
A video vixen is an attractive woman who appears in hip-hop and R&B music videos, typically as a dancer or model in sexually suggestive scenes.
The term emerged in the 1990s as rap videos became increasingly elaborate productions featuring scantily clad women.
It can be neutral or disparaging depending on context—some women have parlayed video vixen status into entertainment careers, while critics see the role as objectifying.
