upcourt
Where fast breaks go
Upcourt describes movement or position toward the opponent's basket in basketball.
A player passes the ball upcourt, or pushes upcourt on a fast break.
The term mirrors the court's orientation—your basket is downcourt, theirs is upcourt: She sprinted upcourt to beat the defense.
