unsee
Wish away witnessing
To unsee is to undo the seeing of something—but since that's impossible, the word appears almost exclusively in expressions of futile wish: I can't unsee that, I wish I could unsee it.
The construction acknowledges that certain images, once witnessed, remain lodged in memory whether you want them there or not.
Common in internet culture, where disturbing content spreads easily.
