unracks
Lifts from holder
To unrack is to remove something from a rack.
In weightlifting, you unrack a barbell by lifting it from its supports to begin an exercise: She unracks the bar and steps back for her squat.
In pool, you unrack the balls by lifting the triangular frame after arranging them.
The term appears in any context where equipment rests on a rack until needed.
