unmark
Clear the selection
To unmark is to remove a mark or marking from something.
In digital contexts, it means to deselect or clear a checkbox, flag, or indicator: I unmarked the emails I'd accidentally flagged.
The word reverses whatever "mark" accomplished—unchecking what was checked, clearing what was highlighted.
