unloosing
Letting something go
Unloosing is the act of releasing, setting free, or letting loose.
The word is the present participle of unloose, which despite its apparent double negative (un- + loose) means the same as loose or loosen: unloosing the dogs, unloosing her hair from its braid.
The un- intensifies rather than reverses.
