understeered
Turned too little
Understeered is the past tense of understeer, a driving term for when a vehicle turns less sharply than the driver intends.
The front tires lose grip and the car drifts wide, toward the outside of a curve: He understeered into the gravel on the exit of turn three.
The opposite is oversteered, where the rear end swings out.
