unbias

Strip away preconceptions

To unbias is to remove bias or prejudice from something—a dataset, a study, a process, or a perspective.

The word appears most often in technical contexts: We need to unbias the training data before running the model.

Less common than its adjective form unbiased, unbias treats bias as something that can be actively corrected rather than merely avoided.
