truck convoys
Rigs traveling together
A truck convoy is a group of trucks traveling together, usually in a coordinated line along a highway.
Convoys form for practical reasons—fuel efficiency, safety in numbers, or organized transport of goods.
The term gained cultural resonance through CB radio culture in the 1970s: We got ourselves a convoy.
More recently, truck convoys have become a form of political protest, with drivers blocking roads or converging on capitals to demonstrate against government policies.
