Training time is the period during which a machine learning model learns from data, as opposed to when it's deployed for actual use.
The distinction matters because what's possible during training (processing massive datasets, adjusting parameters) differs from what's available at inference time.
The model saw millions of examples during training time but must now respond in milliseconds.
