traction control
Prevents wheel spin
Traction control is an electronic system in vehicles that prevents wheels from spinning when accelerating on slippery surfaces.
When sensors detect a wheel losing grip, the system reduces engine power or applies braking to that wheel, helping maintain traction: The traction control light came on when I hit the ice.
