town band
Local brass group
A town band is a musical ensemble, typically brass or wind instruments, that represents and performs for a local community.
These amateur or semi-professional groups often play at civic events, parades, and summer concerts in the park: The town band performs every Sunday evening at the gazebo.
The tradition remains strongest in small towns and rural areas.
