Feline coat marking
Tigerstripe is a camouflage pattern featuring irregular stripes resembling a tiger's coat, developed for jungle warfare during the Vietnam War.
The pattern became iconic among Special Forces and remains popular in military and tactical gear: a tigerstripe boonie hat.
The term also describes any striped pattern evoking tiger markings: tigerstripe maple.
