tie-backs
Drapery holding loops
Tie-backs are decorative cords, bands, or hooks used to hold curtains or drapes open, pulling them back from a window: She looped the silk tie-backs around the drapes to let in more light.
The term also applies to hair accessories that pull hair away from the face, or in construction, metal rods that anchor retaining walls.
