thumb tip
Opposable finger's terminus
A thumb tip is a small hollow prosthetic, usually flesh-colored rubber or plastic, that fits over the thumb.
Magicians use it to conceal and produce small objects like silk scarves or cigarettes: The vanish uses a basic thumb tip.
It's among the most fundamental tools in close-up magic, invisible when handled properly.
