threescore
Three times twenty
Threescore means sixty—three times twenty.
The word survives mainly from biblical and literary sources, most famously the King James Bible's "threescore years and ten" for the human lifespan of seventy years.
Like its relatives twoscore and fourscore, it sounds archaic in modern speech.
