thought leaders
Experts shaping opinion
Thought leaders are people recognized as authorities in a particular field, whose ideas shape how others think about a subject.
The term is common in business and professional contexts: The conference featured thought leaders in artificial intelligence.
Often used earnestly in marketing, but sometimes mockingly to describe self-promoters with more visibility than substance.
