the bad place
Where sinners go
The bad place is a euphemism for hell, used either to avoid saying the word directly or for humorous effect: If you keep lying, you're going to the bad place.
The phrase gained wider currency from the television series *The Good Place*, where it named the show's version of hell.
It can also refer more loosely to any unpleasant situation or state of mind: I'm in the bad place right now.
