terracottas
Fired earthen figures
Terracottas are objects made of terracotta—a brownish-red unglazed earthenware clay used for pottery, sculpture, and building materials.
The word often refers specifically to decorative pieces or statuary: The museum's collection includes ancient Greek terracottas.
Architectural terracottas include roof tiles, ornamental facades, and drainage pipes.
