tellys

Screens showing programmes

Tellys is the plural of telly, British informal for television.

The word refers to multiple television sets or, more loosely, to television programming in general: The shop had a dozen tellys in the window.

Like telly itself, tellys is primarily British usage and sounds foreign to American ears.
