tee ball
Beginner's baseball variant
Tee ball is a simplified form of baseball for young children, typically ages four to six.
Instead of a pitched ball, batters hit from a stationary ball placed on an adjustable rubber tee at home plate.
The game introduces basic skills—hitting, running bases, fielding—without the difficulty of tracking a moving pitch.
Also spelled T-ball or teeball.
