synesthesias
Tasting sounds, perhaps
Synesthesias is the plural of synesthesia, a neurological condition in which stimulation of one sense triggers automatic experiences in another.
Someone with synesthesia might see colors when hearing music, taste shapes, or perceive letters and numbers as having inherent colors: Her synesthesias made Tuesdays feel yellow and the letter A appear red.
The term also describes deliberately blending sensory modes in art or writing.
