superphosphate
Treated rock fertilizer
Superphosphate is a fertilizer made by treating phosphate rock with sulfuric acid, producing a water-soluble form of phosphorus that plants can readily absorb.
It was one of the first manufactured fertilizers and remains widely used in agriculture: The farmer applied superphosphate to the fields before planting.
