stoppling
Sealing an opening
Stoppling is the act of closing or sealing something with a stopper or plug.
The word appears most often in industrial contexts—sealing pipes, bottles, or vessels: The technician was stoppling the test tubes when the alarm sounded.
It's the present participle of stopple, a less common alternative to stopper.
