bunging

Sealing a hole

Bunging is the act of throwing or tossing something carelessly: He was bunging clothes into a suitcase.

In British slang, to bung something somewhere is to put it hastily or without much thought: Just bung it in the drawer.

Bunging can also refer to sealing a container with a bung—a stopper for a barrel or cask.
