stereo cabinet
Sound system housing
A stereo cabinet is a piece of furniture designed to house audio equipment—turntable, amplifier, speakers, and record or CD storage.
Popular from the 1960s through 1980s, these cabinets often featured wood veneer and glass doors, serving as both functional storage and living room centerpiece.
The term feels dated now that most audio equipment has shrunk to portable size.
