star fleet
Orbital military vessels
A star fleet is a military or exploratory naval force operating in outer space, typically consisting of multiple starships under unified command.
The term comes primarily from science fiction, most famously Star Trek's Starfleet.
It applies the organizational concept of naval fleets to interstellar travel: The star fleet assembled near the space station before the mission.
