stage persona
Entertainer's public self
A stage persona is a character or identity a performer adopts for public appearances, distinct from their private self.
Musicians, comedians, and actors often develop stage personas with signature looks, mannerisms, or attitudes: David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust was one of rock's most elaborate stage personas.
The persona may exaggerate aspects of the real person or be entirely invented.
