A spam report is a user-submitted complaint flagging unwanted content—typically unsolicited emails, messages, or posts—as spam.
Email providers and social platforms use these reports to filter future messages and penalize repeat offenders: If enough people file a spam report, the account gets suspended.
The term also appears as a verb: I spam reported that account.
