sonny
Condescending address, lad
Sonny is an informal term of address for a boy or young man, typically used by an older person speaking to someone much younger.
It can be affectionate or condescending depending on tone: Listen here, sonny, I've been doing this since before you were born.
The word derives from son and carries a similar sense of generational distance. (Capitalized Sonny is a given name or nickname.)
