snubnose
Short-barreled pistol
Snubnose describes a short, slightly flattened nose that turns up at the tip.
The term extends to anything compact and blunt-ended: a snubnose revolver has a short barrel, typically two inches or less, making it easier to conceal.
Also spelled snub-nose or snub nose.
Someone with such a nose is snub-nosed.
