snow machines
Winter slope equipment
Snow machines are devices that produce artificial snow, either for ski resorts to supplement natural snowfall or for theatrical and film productions to simulate winter weather.
The term also refers to snowmobiles in Alaska and parts of Canada: We loaded the snow machines onto the trailer and headed for the backcountry.
