sleep diary
Nightly rest record
A sleep diary is a daily log tracking sleep patterns—when you went to bed, when you woke up, how long it took to fall asleep, and how rested you feel.
Doctors and sleep specialists use them to diagnose insomnia and other disorders: My doctor asked me to keep a sleep diary for two weeks.
Also called a sleep log.
