sled rides
Downhill winter glides
Sled rides are the activity of sliding downhill on a sled over snow or ice, typically for recreation.
The phrase evokes winter fun—children bundled up, dragging sleds to hilltops: We took the kids for sled rides after the first big snow.
Sled rides may also be commercially offered experiences pulled by horses or dogs through snowy landscapes.
