skidsteer

Pivot-turning work machine

A skidsteer is a compact, maneuverable construction vehicle with a rigid frame and lift arms that accept various attachments—buckets, forks, augers, or brush cutters.

It steers by varying the speed of wheels on opposite sides, allowing it to turn in place.

Also called a skid-steer loader or skid loader: We rented a skidsteer to grade the driveway.
