Current conditions summary
Sitrep is military and emergency-services shorthand for "situation report"—a concise update on current conditions, typically covering location, status, and any developments.
The term has spread to casual use for any quick summary of what's happening: Give me a sitrep on the project.
The sitrep from the field was grim.
