sight line
Unobstructed visual corridor
A sight line is an unobstructed line of vision between an observer and what they're viewing.
The term appears most often in discussions of theater seating, stadium design, and architecture, where maintaining clear sight lines ensures audiences can see the stage or field: The new arena was designed with excellent sight lines from every seat.
