shoulder seam
Arm-body fabric join
A shoulder seam is the seam joining the front and back panels of a garment at the shoulder, running from the neckline to the sleeve attachment point.
Its placement affects fit—a seam sitting too far forward or back makes the garment look off-balance: The shoulder seams should align with the edge of your shoulder.
