sex-negative
Against erotic expression
Sex-negative describes an attitude or framework that views sexuality with suspicion, shame, or moral disapproval—treating sexual expression as inherently problematic or dangerous rather than a natural part of human experience.
The term emerged in contrast to sex-positive movements: Her upbringing was deeply sex-negative, treating any discussion of desire as shameful.
Sex-negative perspectives may stem from religious doctrine, cultural conservatism, or certain strands of feminism that emphasize sexuality's potential for harm over its potential for pleasure.
