sensibilities

Delicate aesthetic tastes

Sensibilities are the feelings, tastes, and moral values that shape how someone responds to the world.

The word often appears when those feelings might be offended or shocked: The graphic violence may offend some sensibilities.

It can also refer to refined aesthetic awareness: Her artistic sensibilities shaped every design choice.

Unlike sensitivity, which suggests being easily affected, sensibilities implies a particular worldview or set of standards that can be violated.
