screeded
Made concrete even
Screeded is the past tense of screed, a verb used primarily in construction to describe leveling concrete, plaster, or other material to create a smooth, flat surface.
A worker screeds by dragging a straight edge across wet material to bring it to the proper grade: After pouring the concrete, they screeded the slab before it could set.
The term derives from the noun screed, which refers both to the leveling tool and to the strip of material used as a guide for achieving uniform thickness.
