sanserifs
Letters without feet
Sanserifs are typefaces without serifs—the small projecting strokes at the ends of letters.
Where serif fonts like Times New Roman have decorative feet and flourishes, sanserifs like Helvetica and Arial present clean, unadorned letterforms.
The style dominates digital interfaces and modern design for its legibility at small sizes and contemporary feel.
Also spelled sans serifs or sans-serifs.
