sanding sheet
Grit-backed finishing square
A sanding sheet is a flat piece of abrasive material used for smoothing wood, metal, or other surfaces.
Unlike sanding discs or belts designed for power tools, sheets are typically cut to size for hand sanding or fitted to sanding blocks: I wrapped a sanding sheet around the block and worked the edges smooth.
