run-time
Program's active phase
Run-time refers to the period when a computer program is actually executing, as opposed to when it's being written or compiled.
A run-time error occurs during execution rather than beforehand.
Run-time also names the software environment that supports a program while it runs: Install the Java run-time to use this application.
Often written as one word: runtime.
