rug burn
Friction floor injury
Rug burn is skin abrasion caused by friction against carpet or rough fabric, typically from falling, sliding, or vigorous activity on the floor.
The term often carries sexual connotations, suggesting carpet contact during intercourse: She had rug burns on her knees.
Any friction burn from rough surfaces may be called rug burn even without an actual rug involved.
